If you’ve ever tried to send a “quick email” at our café, you’ve probably met Lucy. She has this sixth sense for whenever a laptop is opened. To Lucy, a warm keyboard isn’t a tool for work—it’s a premium, heated bed.
We’ve seen guests give up on their spreadsheets entirely just because they didn’t have the heart to move a sleeping cat. That’s just life here.
With National Siamese Cat Day coming up on April 6th, we wanted to take a second to talk about why these “Meezers” are so much more than just a pretty face with blue eyes.
It’s Not Just a Holiday—It’s a Conversation
National Siamese Cat Day isn’t just a random square on the calendar for us. It’s a day to celebrate the vocal, opinionated, and fiercely loyal souls that keep us company in Bangna.
Most people know Siamese cats are loud. But “loud” doesn’t really cover it. They talk. They argue. If you’re five minutes late with the morning treats, they will let you know in three different languages.
But behind all that noise is a breed that was once considered royal for a reason. In old Thai culture, it was believed these cats carried the souls of kings. Looking at the way Lucy carries herself—even when she’s drooling on someone’s MacBook—it’s pretty hard to disagree.
Every rescue has a turning point. For the story of how Lucy found her forever home with us, [click through to read ‘The First Lady’s’ tale].

More Than “Fancy” Cats: The Rescue Mission
There’s a misconception that Siamese cats are only for high-end breeders. At our place, we see things differently.
Our main focus has always been giving a home to rescued cats. Whether they were found wandering near a market or surrendered by owners who couldn’t handle their “big personalities,” every cat here has a history.
Take Charlie, for example. He didn’t come from a palace. He came from a rough start, and now he’s basically the King of the Waffle Set. National Siamese Cat Day is really about awareness—reminding people that you can find these “royal” souls in local shelters and rescue centers, just waiting for a second chance.

A Quick Cheat Sheet for the Uninitiated
If you’re new to the breed, here is what you’re actually looking at:
- The “Mood” Coat: They are born white. Their dark “points” only show up as they grow and their body temperature shifts. They are literally walking heat maps.
- The Eyes: That piercing blue isn’t a filter. It’s a genetic trait that makes them look like they’re staring directly into your past lives.
- The Loyalty: Dogs get all the credit, but a Siamese will follow you from room to room just to narrate your laundry folding.

Come Say Hi (And Maybe Bring a Laptop)
If you’re around Samut Prakan or just escaping the chaos of Bangkok for the afternoon, come spend the day with us. We’re tucked away in House, 46/26 Bangna–Trad Road, Bang Kaeo, Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan 10540, Thailand, right by the pet grooming shop. Our google map: https://share.google/SY5xCQO5QK3hdk9rW
There’s no entrance fee. Just grab a Vietnamese coffee, find a seat, and wait for a cat to choose you.
The vibe is slow, the coffee is strong, and the cats are… well, they’re the bosses. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
Happy National Siamese Cat Day from the whole team (and Lucy, who is currently asleep on my “Delete” key).
