Cat Hotel Vaccination Requirements in Bangkok: What to Confirm Before Booking
Searching for cat hotel vaccination requirements in Bangkok? At Siamese Cat Hotel & Grooming, vaccination is highly recommended, but it is not a mandatory admission condition. We still encourage owners to keep their cat’s vaccinations current, share relevant health information and ask their veterinarian what is appropriate for that individual cat.
Other hotels may have compulsory requirements, so check the provider you are actually booking. A veterinarian may also recommend a different plan based on your cat’s age, history and risk. The useful goal is not to copy a checklist from another hotel; it is to arrive with clear information and a care plan the team can follow.

There is no single Bangkok-wide hotel checklist
“Vaccinated” does not mean exactly the same thing at every boarding provider. One hotel may ask to see a recent vaccination record; another may add age, parasite-control or infectious-disease conditions. Some may ask about FeLV or FIV testing, while others may direct an owner to a veterinarian for a case-specific answer.
Treat the provider’s policy and your veterinarian’s advice as two separate conversations:
- The hotel: What must be completed before this cat can check in?
- The veterinarian: Which vaccinations, tests or treatments are appropriate for this individual cat?
- The owner: Which records, food instructions and emergency contacts should travel with the cat?
The World Small Animal Veterinary Association’s vaccination guidance is useful background for a veterinary discussion. It does not replace a Thai veterinarian’s advice or the admission policy of the hotel you choose.
Questions to ask the hotel before you book
Copy these into your booking message and ask for a clear answer:
Which records do you need to see?
Ask whether the hotel needs the original vaccination booklet, a dated photograph of the record, a clinic receipt or another document. If your cat’s record is incomplete or difficult to read, resolve that before the travel day rather than hoping it will be accepted at arrival.
Which vaccinations are recommended?
Ask whether the hotel has mandatory requirements or recommendations; they are not the same thing. At Siamese, vaccination is recommended rather than compulsory. If a booster is due or the record is unclear, ask your veterinarian what is appropriate and when it should be given before a boarding stay.
Do you require FeLV or FIV testing?
This is an operator-specific question. Siamese does not impose a blanket FeLV or FIV testing requirement. Do not arrange a test solely because a search result mentioned it; discuss whether one is appropriate with your veterinarian.
What happens if my cat is unwell?
Ask which symptoms mean a stay should be postponed, who makes the decision and how the team contacts you. Share the name of your usual clinic and a backup contact. A hotel is not a substitute for a veterinary hospital when a cat needs medical supervision.
What should I send with the health information?
Alongside the record, send the cat’s normal food, feeding times, litter preference, medication instructions (if the provider has confirmed it can help) and any handling concerns. Clear notes make the first handover shorter and easier for the cat.
A simple document folder for boarding day
Create one folder on your phone and one physical folder if you prefer paper:
- vaccination booklet or clinic record;
- your veterinarian’s contact details;
- the hotel’s confirmed admission message;
- food, litter and routine instructions;
- medication directions only when the hotel has agreed to the task;
- your phone number, a backup contact and the dates of the stay.
This is a preparation list, not a universal admission rule. Keep the hotel’s reply with it so you can see exactly which items were confirmed for your cat.
Our booking conversation near Mega Bangna
At Siamese Cat Hotel & Grooming, the useful starting point is the cat’s actual routine: the dates, food, behaviour, handling history and any health information the owner wants the team to know. Booking is recommended so there is time to confirm the current details. Walk-ins are subject to availability.
Vaccination is highly recommended, but Siamese does not currently make vaccination or FeLV/FIV testing a mandatory admission condition. We still ask owners to share relevant health information honestly so the booking conversation reflects the cat who will actually stay with us.
The hotel is near Mega Bangna and has free parking. The team also cares for 16 adopted resident cats, which is part of the hands-on experience behind the careful handover conversation. It is experience, not a guarantee that every guest will meet the same health or temperament requirements.

Three questions to send today
- My cat’s vaccination record is current, overdue or incomplete—which details would you like me to share?
- Should I ask my veterinarian about any vaccination, FeLV/FIV or parasite concerns before the stay?
- If my cat’s record is overdue or unclear, should I speak with my veterinarian before reserving the room?
For the rest of the handover, use what to bring for a first cat-hotel stay and compare capsule and private-room options. When you are ready, send Siamese Cat Hotel & Grooming the dates, vaccination status and relevant health details before you travel.
